Ketamine is a decades-old anesthetic drug that has recently been developed into a breakthrough treatment for mental illness that can produce rapid and dramatic improvement in depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, suicidal ideation, and eating disorders. Dr. Feifel established the world’s first Ketamine treatment program for mental illness in 2008 and has treated thousands of patients since. Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (dTMS) is the most advanced version of TMS , a revolutionary approach to treating psychiatric and neurological conditions without medication. Kadima’s highly advanced deep TMS program is founded on Dr. Feifel’s extensive experience and research with TMS, starting in 2009, when he established San Diego’s very first TMS treatment program at UC San Diego. Spravato is form of ketamine, S-ketamine, administered by nasal spray. FDA approved for treatment-resistant depression and suicidal ideation, it is covered by many insurance companies. Kadima has been a certified Spravato treatment center since the drug’s release in 2019 and we have acquired extensive experience with spravato and developed approaches to optimize its therapeutic effects.
Certain drugs can induce a temporary shift in perception and insight that produce robust therapeutic effects on mental illness. Trained therapists can enhance the therapeutic benefits by helping patients integrate the “psychedelic” insights into their daily lives. Theta Burst Stimulation
Theta Burst Stimulation (TBS) is an advanced method of TMS that emerged from research into the brain’s natural firing rhythms. It involves applying short, high frequency bursts of magnetic pulses to strengthen brain regions that regulate mood, motivation, fear, negative thoughts, etc, By using advanced deep TMS technology to deliver TBS, Kadima is able to combine the advantages of both these innovations.
CLINICAL TRIALS
Kadima conducts FDA-regulated psychedelic clinical trials investigating compounds such as psilocybin, LSD, DMT, and 5-MeO-DMT for depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. These fully legal, medically supervised studies provide eligible patients access to these innovative investigational treatments while advancing vital mental health research.
