WHAT is PSYCHEDELIC ASSISTED THERAPY?
Many San Diego residents are familiar with traditional forms of talk therapy. However, psychedelic therapy and integration is becoming an increasingly popular treatment option. Psychedelic-assisted therapy uses psychoactive substances (like ketamine, psilocybin, 5-Meo-DMT, LSD, and others) to change cognitive processes, perceptions, and attitudes.
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy at Kadima!
The psychedelic substances are carefully and professionally administered to help patients reach specific therapeutic goals. An approved treatment is Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) which is what we offer at Kadima.
Psychedelic therapy is often recommended for patients who are not responding to traditional forms of therapy or feel as though they have hit a roadblock in their therapeutic journey. Psychedelic-assisted therapy is especially targeted to help individuals who are dealing with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, substance abuse, and additional mental health issues.
Benefits of Psychedelic assisted therapy
Psychedelic-assisted therapy can yield significant benefits for individuals, particularly those grappling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD. While concerns about encountering ‘bad trips’ may arise, the consumption of psychoactive substances in a safe and therapeutic environment is often a crucial step in many individuals’ mental health healing journeys. The therapeutic potential of psychedelic integration is increasingly recognized within medical circles, leading to a destigmatization of psychedelic substances for therapeutic purposes.
When used in a safe environment and at responsible dosages, psychedelics can facilitate access to the subconscious and foster healing from mental illness at a deeper level than traditional therapy alone. Many individuals seek Psychedelic-assisted therapy to delve deeper into the roots of their mental issues, gaining insight and liberating their minds from limiting thoughts and beliefs.

What Is Psychedelic Integration?
Psychedelic integration involves the assimilation, understanding, and incorporation of insights, emotions, perceptions and thoughts experienced during psychedelic journeys into one’s daily life. This process entails reflecting on and comprehending the psychedelic experience in a therapeutic setting.
Psychedelic integration is an essential step in psychedelic-assisted therapy. Integration typically includes discussing and processing the thoughts, emotions, and insights that emerged during the psychedelic session with a trained therapist. At Kadima, we provide access to a diverse team of licensed and highly trained therapists, allowing you to select the professional who best suits your needs.
The goal of psychedelic integration is to assist individuals in integrating the lessons learned and insights gained from the psychedelic experience into their lives, fostering personal growth, healing, and transformation.
Interested in Psilocybin, LSD, 5-Meo DMT, or MDMA therapy?
Most psychedelics are not yet approved by the US government. The only legal way to use them is to be a participant in clinical trials.
Kadima is now enrolling for psychedelic clinical trials.
How Does Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Work?
Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy at Kadima starts with a consultation with Dr. David Feifel, a renowned neuropsychiatrist and our founder. During this one-on-one session, a personalized treatment plan will be crafted to meet your specific needs. Following this, you will have the opportunity to choose from our diverse team of psychedelic therapists. Once you’ve selected your therapist, you will undergo a preparation session before your first psychedelic therapy experience. Subsequently, you’ll embark on the psychedelic journey, with following sessions structured to facilitate integration and follow-up therapy. The number of integration sessions required for full incorporation, as well as subsequent experiences, will be tailored to your individual progress and needs.
People react differently to psychedelic substances, making psychedelic-assisted therapy experiences vary from one person to another. However, psychedelic-assisted therapy must be performed in a safe and professional environment to facilitate maximum results. At Kadima, we place great emphasis on creating the optimal set and setting for individuals before and during their psychedelic experience.
How Does it Help Depression?
Psychedelic-assisted therapy can be considered an alternative approach to treating mental health conditions, such as depression, that have become resistant to traditional treatments.
Psychedelic-assisted therapy allows people to disconnect from their current way of thinking to explore an alternative state of consciousness where healing can take place. The psychedelic integration process aims to help people confront the rigid and limiting beliefs that are holding them back in life and preventing further healing from occurring.
