Psychedelic-Integration Therapists

Julie Trim, Ph.D

Dr. Trim obtained her PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2008 and spent most of her career serving as the director of the Adult Eating Disorders program at UCSD. She provides telehealth and in-person services to adults and older adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma and PTSD, and emotion dysregulation/Borderline Personality Disorder.

She utilizes evidence-based treatments such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) whenever possible, but believes that effective therapy results from a combination of competence and connection.

Dr. Trim received specialized training in psychedelic-assisted therapy from Compass Pathways (who conducted the largest randomized clinical trial on treatment-resistant depression to date). She has served as a psychedelic-assisted therapist on several clinical trials of psilocybin, and provides therapy for individuals receiving ketamine and esketamine. She feels incredibly privileged to facilitate healing and growth through the clinical use of psychedelics.
