Shannon Carlin, LMFT

Shannon Carlin, LMFT, is dedicated to the human process of growth and healing, that of her clients as well as her own.
Shannon practices transpersonal psychotherapy and psychedelic integration. She is oriented through a client-centered approach and a philosophy that all people have within them an inherent wisdom and capacity for growth. Her clinical work serves adults and adolescents experiencing post traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and existential crisis.
Shannon has worked with psychedelic therapy since 2011. She served as a therapist on MAPS-sponsored clinical trials researching MDMA-assisted therapy for anxiety associated with life-threatening illness and MDMA-assisted therapy for severe PTSD. Shannon works with clients receiving ketamine-assisted therapy.
 
Shannon Carlin

Shannon received a master’s degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She serves as the Chief of Therapy Training and Supervision at the MAPS Public Benefit Corporation (MAPS PBC). Shannon has helped develop programs around the world offering training and support for psychedelic therapy, integration, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care.
